About Chrissy

Working alongside individuals 13+ who are seeking clarity, connection, and healing in the face of life’s challenges, I support clients navigating issues related to anxiety, attachment and relationships, gender and sexuality, identity, self-esteem, shame, substance abuse, trauma, and the emotional aftermath of abuse. As a queer person, I am especially passionate about supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, cultivating a space that is affirming, inclusive, and queer-informed.

My approach is collaborative, warm, and rooted in the belief that healing happens through authentic connection – with ourselves, others, and the communities where we find belonging. Together, we can explore your emotions, identify and nurture your strengths, reauthor your stories in ways that feel empowering and true to who you are, and move forward viewing every part of yourself with compassion. I draw from Emotion-Focused, Feminist, Humanistic, Internal Family Systems, Narrative, and Relational-Cultural therapies, always adapting my approach to suit your unique needs and preferences.

My practice is grounded in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed care. I have supported Indigenous adults and families in addiction recovery and worked with unhoused youth deeply impacted by marginalization and rejection. I also have experience supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals navigating identity, relationships, and systemic challenges.

I hold a BA in Psychology from York University and am completing my MEd in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. I am currently working under supervision as I move toward registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
