About Kate
I work with adult clients (18+) navigating concerns related to anxiety, depression, and stress, with a particular focus on grief, loneliness, major life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. My therapeutic approach is client-centred and co-constructed, rooted in curiosity and respect. I aim to foster a supportive, non-judgemental space where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and thoughts. My practice is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Emotions-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness-Based Approaches. I bring experience in peer support for individuals coping with grief and loss, as well as training in trauma support. These experiences contribute to my trauma-informed lens and deepen my sensitivity to the diverse ways trauma can shape our lives. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Research Intensive Psychology and Social Development Studies
from the University of Waterloo (2022) and I am currently completing a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto (OISE), expected April 2026.

Cancellation Policy
When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.
In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.
Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
